
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Thank you for shopping at Not A Hobby Shop (NAHS)! We want to ensure you have the best experience with our premium hobby tools and model kits. Please review our comprehensive policy below:
1. Order Cancellations & Fees (Before Fulfillment)
We start processing and allocating inventory immediately after an order is placed. If you need to cancel an order before it has been fulfilled (shipped or picked up), the following fees will apply to cover administrative costs, inventory holding, and non-refundable payment processing charges:

In-Stock Items: Cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.

Pre-Order Items: Cancellations are subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
2. Completed & Fulfilled Orders (No Returns/Exchanges)

Once an order has been fulfilled (shipped out, or picked up in-store and carried out of the premises), it cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged under any circumstances. All completed sales are final due to the collectible and hobby-centric nature of our products.

Hobby-Industry Condition Standard: For safety and quality control, once an item leaves our shop or shipping facility, we cannot verify if the outer box seals or internal components have been compromised. Therefore, no refunds or exchanges will be granted post-fulfillment.
3. Non-Returnable & Final Sale Items
The following items are strictly final sale and cannot be cancelled or returned:

Premium Bandai (P-Bandai) & Limited/Exclusive Editions: Due to the rare, market-sensitive, and collectible nature of these items, all sales are final.

Blind Boxes / Gashapon: To ensure fairness and prevent tampering, all randomized items are final sale.

Paints, Solvents, and Consumables: All paints, putties, thinners, and adhesives are final sale due to safety and chemical stability regulations.

Clearance / Sale Items: All items purchased at a discount or from the clearance section are final sale.
4. Box Condition ("Box Collectors" Policy)

We take great care in sourcing, handling, and packing our inventory. However, minor cosmetic wear on the outer packaging (such as small creases, superficial scratches, or slightly dented corners) can naturally occur during international transit.

NAHS does not guarantee perfect outer packaging and does not offer returns, exchanges, cancellations, or discounts for minor packaging imperfections that do not affect the internal components, parts, or runners.
5. Risk Assessment & Fraud Prevention Cancellation

NAHS reserves the right to cancel any order that triggers our automated fraud detection system or raises reasonable suspicion (including, but not limited to, suspected credit card unauthorized use, fraudulent activity, or high-risk billing discrepancies).

To cover non-refundable merchant gateway fees incurred by such high-risk transactions, all orders cancelled under reasonable suspicion of fraud will be subject to a 5% restocking and administrative fee.
6. Damaged, Defective, or Missing Parts (Factory Misprints)

If you open a kit and suspect a factory defect (e.g., a missing runner or severely warped parts), please do not open any internal plastic runner bags.

Contact us immediately with clear photos of the sealed bags and the instruction manual page highlighting the missing/defective part. We will work with you to find a solution or replacement based on manufacturer availability. Once an internal plastic bag is opened, we cannot provide manufacturer support.
